Dr. Holly Thompson
Holly became interested in acupuncture after acupuncture was the only thing that helped her overcome severe and frequent migraine headaches. Acupuncture treatment gave her her life back and helped produce many positive health changes for. She was inspired by her experience and wanted to be able to help others experience these changes too.
Holly began her training eighteen years ago and has been licensed for the past sixteen years, practicing in Steamboat, Colorado and Stowe, Vermont. She focuses on treating chronic pain and women’s issues as well as stress and weight management. Her goals in treating are to resolve the presenting problems as quickly and completely as possible and to assist the client in making positive changes that enhance health, happiness and well-being.
Holly received her doctoral at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. The doctoral training emphasized all aspects of advanced Chinese medicine, integration with biomedical treatment, and focused on developing exceptional clinical skills with specialties in women’s health and geriatrics.
On a personal note, Holly lives in Elmore with her husband, Donald, who is a veterinarian and a veterinary acupuncturist and their children as well as three dogs, and two cats.
